About Stillpoint
Stillpoint opened in March 2014 in a former upholstery shop on Haywood Road. Founder Mara Ellison (E-RYT 500) kept the cork floor, took down the mirror wall, and set the class cap at 16 mats. Eleven years on, the cap has not moved.
Seven teachers share the schedule. Every one holds at least the RYT-200 credential; Mara and two others hold RYT-500, which requires 500 documented training hours. We teach 31 classes a week, from a 6:15 Sunrise flow to an 8:15 Restorative wind-down, and every class runs the same way: names learned, injuries asked about, adjustments offered.
Eleven years of regulars
Chair & Gentle at 1:15 is the only class my knees tolerate, and it is on the schedule six days a week. Two years in, I have missed maybe five Thursdays.

I told Dana about my shoulder on day one. Every class since, she has offered a variation before I could raise my hand.

500 hour teachers cue differently: fewer words, better ones. I send my post-op patients to Foundations here.
